The diagram emphasizes three insights for organizational excellence.

    The Shingo Model

The Shingo Model™ is built on 10 Guiding Principles that shape truly excellent organizations:

    Respect Every Individual

    Lead with Humility

    Seek Perfection

    Assure Quality at the Source

    Flow & Pull Value

    Embrace Scientific Thinking

    Focus on Process

    Think Systematically

    Create Consistency of Purpose

    Create Value for the Customer

When organizational systems are intentionally aligned to these principles, it becomes easier for people at every level to consistently make the “right” decisions and drive lasting improvement.

    Shingo Workshops

Attending a Shingo workshop is an opportunity to move beyond simply applying improvement tools and instead learn how to build the systems and culture that create lasting excellence.

Each session helps leaders and teams understand the Shingo Guiding Principles, see how they influence behavior, and connect technical improvement efforts to leadership and cultural transformation.

Completing the full series provides a complete, end-to-end roadmap—from discovering excellence to designing systems, enabling culture, driving continuous improvement, and sustaining results—equipping participants with the insight and confidence to create organizations where people thrive, processes deliver consistent value, and performance improves year after year.

    Hosting a Virtual Workshop

In today's virtual work environment, hosting a 2-Day Shingo Institute workshop is easier than ever.

Your organization hosts a one-hour virtual tour (Gemba) of your workplace each day of the workshop. Workshop attendees will interact virtually with your team members, see where the work is being done and learn about any best practices and ideal behaviors you've enacted.

All learning is done online, there is no need for anyone to come to your workplace, and the tour can be easily done with a cell phone, tablet or laptop.

    Host Site Benefits

Virtual or Face-to-Face, your benefits include a discounted or free ‘seat’ for your company, a learning experience for your associates, and valuable feedback from knowledgeable colleagues and Certified Facilitators. All this in exchange for providing a few hours of access to your people and processes.

    It's a definite win-win for your company.

    Hosting a Face-to-Face Workshop

As more people return to the office, our 2-Day Face-to-Face workshops are in high demand.

Your organization hosts a one-hour in-person tour (Gemba) of your workplace each day of the workshop. Workshop attendees will interact with your team members, see where the work is being done and learn about any best practices and ideal behaviors you've enacted.

We ask you to provide a meeting space for up to 20 people, and to help us coordinate lunch and snacks for our participants.
